Interview on Indie yellow Pages

I gave my first interview recently, to the lovely Angela over at Indie Yellow Pages. Answering ten silly questions about myself and Liquorice-Allosaurs has never been so much fun! Summer Draw Winners!!!

It was fun fun fun on May 31st as you lot dashed in to make purchases in the very last moments, and some of you only just squeaked in there but I am happy to say that there are plenty of names to put in the draw! Corblimey, I think Liquorice-Allosaurs will have to have a competition every month – watch this space!

The Heart Shaped Stone

Last weekend R’s niece found a heart shaped stone in the earth while we were out walking. I was just going to post the picture with no text at all but it struck me as a symbol for something that’s been pecking at my head for some time now. Read more

Chocolate chip cookies

I’ve been baking, hurrah! And here’s the result; yummy chocolate chip cookies. Better not try to eat them though – they are hand sculpted from polymer clay and hand painted too.
These are my new improved nibbled choc chip cookie necklaces. They’ve been selling like hot cakes so I hope you’ll like this design as much as the old one. They are very realistic, and best of all you’ll be sweet enough to eat when you wear one!

Liquorice-Allosaurs first review!

Wow, Liquorice-Allosaurs got its first online review today and what can I say but thank you Mrs Mo’s New Jersey! Apart from the thrill of seeing both Liquorice-Allosaurs Shop and Blog reviewed, it feels pretty sweet to be included in a blog that gives you the low down on the New Jersey area – I’m not exactly in the catchment area so it feels even more special to be included. Check out what the lovely Mrs Mo said about Liquorice-Allosaurs here!

In fact, if you want the skinny on where to shop, eat, drink in some high or low culture or even adopt a homeless kitten in New Jersey, there is a mind boggling array of ideas to be had at Mrs Mo’s. She’ll tell you which indie stores are worth walking in off the street for, and she goes to these places herself so you get a personal shoppers view of what it’s like to shop there. Makes my feet itch to go travelling I can tell you, and even better it makes me want to research what is going on right here in dear old London – if I knew as much about my town as Mrs Mo knows about hers, I’d be in clover.

Whiplash girls ride again!

Those of you who were shopping at Liquorice-Allosaurs this Christmas may remember my alternative Christmas decorations. Well, a customer who had been browsing the product archives asked if I might not revive the design in the form of brooches – of course I jumped at the chance! They are wooden with sturdy glittery polyclay wings and completely handpainted.

These lovely ladies are available now – and I will be making necklaces in a similar vein so keep your eyes peeled….
